The Northern Circuit — where no two days feel the same
Most people who come to Tanzania for the first time think they know what to expect. They have seen the photographs — the golden plains, the vast herds, the lone acacia at sunset. What they don’t expect is how completely different each park feels from the last. How the landscape shifts from one world into another within the space of an hour’s drive. How a circuit that begins in the dry heat of Tarangire ends, days later, in the mist-wrapped highlands of Ngorongoro, with something in between that nothing quite prepares you for.
This is the Northern Circuit’s greatest secret, and the thing we love most about it. It is not one safari. It is five or six, woven into one continuous journey across some of the most extraordinary wildlife country on earth.
We have driven these roads hundreds of times — on dawn game drives when the air is still cold and the lions are still moving, and on late evening returns when the sky turns every shade of amber over the Serengeti plains. The Northern Circuit never gets old. Because it is never quite the same twice.
No two parks feel the same. That is the point. That is the magic.
The parks of the Northern Circuit
The classic Northern Circuit covers Arusha, Lake Manyara, Tarangire, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Serengeti. Extend it and you move into the Ngorongoro Highlands, the Loliondo Game Controlled Area, and the remote wilderness beyond the tourist trail. We operate across all of it.
